Turn Your Passion for Children Into a Daycare Franchise Families Rely On
January 1, 2026
Charlotte keeps landing on lists of the fastest-growing cities in the country, and when you look around, it’s easy to see why. New families are arriving every day, neighborhoods are expanding, and daily life here revolves around work, school, and community. If you’ve been researching a Charlotte preschool franchise or thinking seriously about opening a preschool in Charlotte NC, it’s never been a better time. This is a city built around families, and early education plays a huge role in that.
Charlotte’s Family Growth Creates Real Demand for Preschool
Charlotte’s growth isn’t slowing down anytime soon. Between 2023 and 2024 alone, more than 57,000 people moved to the Charlotte region, which comes out to about 150 people every single day. Many of them are young professionals and families who are settling in for the long haul. Looking ahead to 2025 and 2026, Charlotte’s population is approaching one million residents, with the larger metro area already topping 2.3 million and continuing to grow at a steady pace.
For preschool owners, who’s moving here matters just as much as how many people are arriving. About 23% of Charlotte’s population is under the age of 18, which means hundreds of thousands of children already need care or will soon. That steady flow of families creates consistent demand for early education year after year. Preschool isn’t a nice-to-have in Charlotte. It’s part of everyday life. When we look at potential school locations, we pay close attention to population density and how many children live within a short drive. Charlotte checks those boxes.

Preschool Ownership Fits the Charlotte Lifestyle
One thing our owners talk about often is how much they value the lifestyle that comes with preschool ownership. Schools run Monday through Friday, during the day. Evenings and weekends stay open for family time, rest, and everything else life brings.
Charlotte attracts people who care about quality of life, and preschool ownership fits naturally into that mindset. At Creative World School, owners stay involved at a leadership level while experienced directors and assistant directors handle daily operations. You’re connected and engaged without needing to be in the building all day.
That balance makes it possible to build something meaningful while still being present for your own family. We dive deeper into this in Balancing Business and Family: The Creative World Approach.
Our Franchise Model Supports Growth From Day One
Opening a preschool comes with plenty of moving pieces, from licensing and staffing to construction and enrollment. Our franchise model is designed to support owners through every phase, so no one feels like they’re figuring it out on their own.
One part of our structure that stands out to new owners is how royalties work. New Creative World Schools don’t pay royalty fees until they reach 75 enrolled students. That gives owners time to focus on building enrollment, hiring the right team, and becoming part of the community before those fees begin. Once royalties do start, they increase gradually and stay below what many other early education franchises charge.
In a growing market like Charlotte, that flexibility early on can make a real difference. If you’re wondering what the process actually looks like from start to finish, our Step-by-Step Guide to Opening a Preschool Franchise walks through each phase and helps set clear expectations.
Charlotte Families Care About Quality and Trust
Charlotte parents are thoughtful about where they send their children. Many are juggling busy work schedules and want a preschool they can truly rely on, one that feels consistent, welcoming, and connected to their community. That’s where Creative World School stands out.
Our schools are designed with children and families in mind, from engaging classrooms to shared spaces that encourage curiosity and connection. Over time, schools become part of a neighborhood’s daily rhythm. Parents talk. Word spreads. Relationships grow.
That trust is what helps schools stay strong long term. It’s also why so many of our owners talk about the deeper satisfaction that comes with this work. We share more about that experience in Why Franchise Owners Find Fulfillment in Early Childhood Education.
Why Charlotte and Creative World Are a Strong Fit
Charlotte offers a powerful mix of population growth, family-centered neighborhoods, and ongoing demand for early education. When you pair that with our experience, support, and long-standing commitment to quality, the opportunity becomes even clearer.
